Sacred secrets of hair
There is a completely mistaken view that human hair is just an atavism, the remains of wool, which we inherited from distant ancestors-monkeys. But scientists who deal with hair problems say that human hair is absolutely not like the animal’s hair and has gone a long way of evolution.
Since ancient times, the attitude to the hair on the head was special: people believed that hair contained a sacred power and wisdom. Hairstyle was a kind of sign, indicating the social status of a person. In ancient Egypt people used wigs for this purpose. Celtic warriors combed their hair back and put a lime solution – such hairstyles gave an intimidating look and contributed to the victories.
In ancient Greece, the burning or cutting of hair strands was an important part of the marriage, acceptance of citizenship and funeral rituals. In Russia it was believed that the light heavenly powers go into the body through the hair.
At the same time, the lack of hair is associated with the loss of strength and power. In the ancient world, the haircut was a sign of slavery. The ancient Germans cut off criminals’ beards. The Roman emperor Nero ordered to cut hair of the soldiers of a foreign legion – because he wanted them not to think, but only to carry out orders.
Perhaps the greatest importance of hair was attached to the magical rites. With its help, sorcerers and wizards all over the world removed the spoiling or disease. In the ancient Russian chronicles there is information that the Magi touching the hair could tell about the person’s fate.
The ancient Greek historian Herodotus in his works described in detail how to destroy the shorn hair, so that evil priests could not use them in their rites.
It has long been known that the chemical composition of hair can tell almost everything about a person – about heredity, lifestyle, habits and even favorite dishes. In 2007 American biophysicist Terry Bara, using an X-ray study of hair, determined the diet of Eskimos, frozen in the ice 400 years ago. In addition, it is known that hair stores information about the human genetic code – with an accuracy of 99%.
Many experts on paranormal phenomena suggest that hair is a kind of antenna, which connects us with the cosmic mind. It constantly receives and sends out a huge information flow – and this process happens automatically, without our conscious participation.
More than 120 thousand hair grow on the head of the average person. Hair affects the immune system and the work of the whole body.
During pregnancy, female hair performs a special function: each of them breaks the flow of cosmic energy in two – one part is intended for the woman herself, and the other is for her child. This theory, by the way, is confirmed by the beliefs of almost all peoples – that pregnant women shouldn’t cut off their hair.
It has long been proven that the elements of the human body are closely related. Back in the 1960s, French scientists discovered that the state of mind reflected on the hair. In particular, depression dramatically reduces the elasticity of hair, making it brittle.
Hair has the ability to store information and stress energy. By making a haircut, we are freed from excessive negative energy. Even the simple combing activates the magical powers of the body.
According to the Guinness Book of Records, the owner of the longest hair in the world (6.8 meters) is a man, Vietnamese Tran Van Hai. The longest hair among women (5.6 meters) belongs to a Chinese woman Xie Qiuping.
