Pictures by Elena Yushina
Russian artist Elena Yushina lives in Simferopol. Thanks to her mother Elena fell in love with art. Her mother was her best, most reliable and extremely interesting friend.
Even a ray of light or foggy forest, or leaves in a vase can inspire the artist to create a new picture.
Her favorite artists are Konstantin Alexeevich Korovin, Valentin Alexandrovich Serov, Isaac Ilich Levitan, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Vasily Dmitrievich Polenov. She also likes modern artists such as Pavel Eskov, Vadim Dolinsky, Gelena Pavlenko.
In September-October 2011 Elena took part in the first international exhibition, Foundation for Promotion of Arts.
In September 2012 she participated in the exhibition of the Crimean artists, project Home.
In November 2012 the personal exhibition Equilibrium was held in Feodosia.
In December 2012 – February 2013 Elena participated in the exhibition New Year’s gift, the Museum of Grin’s Art Gallery in Feodosia.
In April 2013 Yushina was an honorary member of the international project in Kiev.
In May – June 2013 the artist participated in the art project held by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.
In 2013 she participated in the VIII International exhibition-competition of contemporary art UKRAINIAN ART WEEK and took the first place in the category Still Life with the work Anticipation of Autumn; the first place in Conversation piece with the work Wisteria; the second place in the category Nature.
Her solo exhibition “I paint what I like..” was held in Theodosia in 2014. In the same year her personal exhibition was held in Simferopol.
Elena became a famous book illustrator. She drew several wonderful works and created a unique cover for the novel “A Tale with a happy beginning” by Galina Marcus.
