Voluminous Paintings by Justin Gaffrey
The American self-taught artist creates wonderful voluminous paintings. Surprisingly, Justin Gaffrey is actually a very famous chef and restaurant owner. As you can see, talented person is talented in everything. Some of his paintings are actually more like a nice salad with herbs, spices, mayonnaise, etc.
Justin began painting in 2001.The artist tried his hand at a variety of techniques. Beginning with primitive, “folk art” style works, he soon moved to Impressionism. Justin was inspired by Van Gogh’s pictures.
Working exclusively with acrylic paints and palette knife, Justin creates his “sculptures from paint”.
Combining bright colors with muted tones, Justin sings hymn to nature, showing sunlight, randomly floating clouds and even flying dandelion parachutes.
The artist paints numerous sunflowers with pleasure. He is also fond of other flowers: poppies, daisies, lilies, as well as the unknown field and forest flowers, lost among herbs, shrubs and trees.
Amazing scenery with flaming poppies, modest daisies, colorful butterflies, spicy herbs, the waves of the sea, sand dunes give you aesthetic pleasure.
The artist’s work once again proves that self-expression through color and paint does not require professional skills. A true desire to create and Justin’s talent attract the attention of the public.
As for me, he was born to paint.
His pictures are in private collections and exhibited in his Galleries in Seaside, Florida and his Gallery/Studio in Blue Mountain Beach, Florida.
