People and Geometry by Sergio Cerchi

Sergio Cerchi is an Italian painter. He was born in Florence, where he still lives and works. He graduated from d’Arte di Porta Romana and studied at the Cherubim Conservatory in Florence.
In his childhood the future artist was interested in music and visual arts. Little Sergio attended local artists’ workshops and played with various musical bands.
He began to paint at the age of 15 trying different techniques and approaches. Now he has his personal and original style.
“Figures and Geometry” form the basis of his vision of reality. His paintings express not only artistic, but also philosophical, historical, and psychological values. The artist represents people as characters in world space exploring the subtleties and colors, shadows and layers.
