Kasia Polkowska and her wonderful landscapes
Kasia Polkowska is a talented contemporary artist based in Colorado, the USA. Kasia was born in 1983 in Warsaw, Poland. In 2006 the artist graduated from Pratt Institute with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting. Her work ranges in various themes of architecture, fantasy and landscapes. She is keen on nature, patterns, colors and the hand-made. She always looks for something beautiful, curious, and inspirational. She investigates and explores everything she finds fascinating. Not only magic, mystery and magnificence of nature, but also man-made environments and structures attract her.
She is in love with the nature, which comes alive in her wonderful stained glass mosaics. Picturesque landscapes made of colorful glass amaze with the realism and completeness of colors.
We can see the beauty of Mother Nature in her wonderful mosaics.
The trip to the Teton Mountains inspired the artist to create a series of mosaics. She was impressed by beautiful nature: lush green trees and grass, yellow, blue and red flowers. In the mountains you can see wild animals. Kasia liked cute marmots and graceful antelope. The poetic soul of the artist enjoyed the simple things: fishing in the lake, a meal cooked over the campfire, under the stars overnight. This romantic atmosphere could not leave her indifferent. The girl says it is one of the most beautiful places she has visited, that’s why she took a lot of photos of the magnificence of the natural landscape.
It is noteworthy that her stained glass mosaics are not just an exact copy of good photos, but her own perception of nature. Her main purpose was to convey the emotions that she experienced while on holiday. Landscape mosaics are gorgeous.
