Lisa lost her vision in 1993. “I lost not only vision, but also the independence, and the meaning of life,” she said. Of course Lisa was depressed. It’s incredibly difficult to become totally dependent on others if you were strong and independent before. At first it may seem that a person has lost the meaning of life together with his ability.
Lisa tried to work in the garden, play the piano. But she was so depressed that often didn’t even get out of bed.
One day her husband Al brought home children’s watercolor paints and said, “I do not care what you are going to do with them. But do anything…”

Philippe Faraut is a talented sculptor. He was born in France and traveled a lot in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, studying the culture of the countries. More than fifteen years, Philippe traveled around the United States and Canada, where he learned the art of sculpting.
Philippe has created numerous original works of various sizes, from the six-inch porcelain figurines to impressive monuments. The artist works with water-based clay and marble. He has developed a unique technique of portrait modeling. The artist strives to create the illusion of reality in his works.
Philippe works in his studio in New York, shares his experience with his students during numerous sculpting classes and seminars.

Sergio Cerchi is an Italian painter. He was born in Florence, where he still lives and works. He graduated from d’Arte di Porta Romana and studied at the Cherubim Conservatory in Florence.
In his childhood the future artist was interested in music and visual arts. Little Sergio attended local artists’ workshops and played with various musical bands.
He began to paint at the age of 15 trying different techniques and approaches. Now he has his personal and original style.
“Figures and Geometry” form the basis of his vision of reality. His paintings express not only artistic, but also philosophical, historical, and psychological values. The artist represents people as characters in world space exploring the subtleties and colors, shadows and layers.

Maude White was born in Buffalo in the mid-1980s. When she was a little girl, her family moved to a small town in the Hudson Valley. In her childhood she was interested in theater. She spent a lot of time creating and presenting her own stories. After graduation, she moved back to Buffalo. Maude got a job in the Public Library where she continued to enjoy reading.
Now Maude is an owner of Brave Bird Paperwork & Jewelry.
The artist believes that her work has influenced such great illustrators as Maxfield Parrish, Arthur Rackham, Gustave Dore.
