Nature is the best painter because it creates only masterpieces. Every tree, every herb and flower, every piece of nature. They are amazing, wonderful and perfect. Just have a look at Mother Nature’s pictures in China.
Dongchuan, countryside with the most impressive red fields in the world, is located 250 kilometers northeast of Kunming (capital of Yunnan Province of China). Huge terraced fields are unusual brown-red because of rich iron and copper deposits. Yunnan’s climate is warm and humid. Iron in the soil is oxidized and form iron oxide that is naturally red. These oxides turned into the reddish-brown soil.

A large number of tourists and photographers come here every year in the spring, when the fields and terraces are plowed by villagers. People wanted to see the layers of the newly inverted red soil with areas of green plants. Fiery red soil combines with emerald green crops of barley, and golden yellow buckwheat. On blue sky background they create one of the richest colors, which is rarely seen anywhere in nature.
Dongchuan district was unknown until the mid-1990s, when the Chinese photographer happened to see this awesome place. They say, the photographer was struck by the beauty of the area and lived there for a week and photographed everything.
